Best use
Use it to match the park to the time you actually have. With 30 to 60 minutes from a station next to a landmark, it keeps you to a tight loop. With more time, it works in the Englischer Garten, the Neuer See and the quieter western half without doubling back.
Local guide note
My advice is to treat Tiergarten as its own slower half-day, not a rushed add-on. It is not on my walking tour, which stays in the medieval core near Alexanderplatz. Pick one entry point, follow the loop, and leave time to just sit by the water.
