This tool answers the one question that trips people up at the Olympiastadion: is it even open today? Set your day and it shows whether you can buy a self-guided ticket and walk straight in, whether a Hertha home game or big event has closed the visitor centre, and how a guided tour compares, each with timing and my verdict.
Best use
Use it before you make the trip out to the west of the city, because the stadium is a real journey from the centre. On a normal day the self-guided ticket is the easy, cheap option; on an event day the plan is completely different, and this tool tells you which day you are looking at.
Local guide note
My advice is to treat this as a serious stop, not a quick photo. The 1936 Olympic history is heavy and worth reading about first. And always check the fixture list, because turning up to a locked visitor centre on a match day is the classic mistake here.
