A Zoo Berlin annual card costs €69 for one adult, the family cards start at €88.50, and there are four bundles across the Zoo, the Aquarium and the Tierpark. Whether one pays off depends on how often you really go and where. Add your household and your likely visits month by month, and the planner shows the cheapest option for your year and when it overtakes day tickets.
What the planner shows
A twelve-month strip from October 2026 to September 2027 and a running-cost chart for Zoo Berlin, the Aquarium next to it on Budapester Straße and Tierpark Berlin in Friedrichsfelde. Set who comes along, tap the months to add the visits you would really make, and the chart adds up what those visits cost on day tickets and on each of the four annual cards. A yellow dot marks the month the cheapest card has paid for itself.
Where the numbers come from
Day ticket and annual card prices as published by Zoo, Aquarium and Tierpark Berlin, read on 28 September 2026. Day tickets are shown as a band, from the lowest online price to the gate price, because the online price rises closer to the day.
Family cards are applied automatically when they are cheaper: the small card for one parent and own children aged 4 to 15, the large card for both parents and own children. Children under 4 are free.
A Zoo card holder pays half the regular day price at the Tierpark and the Aquarium, and a Tierpark card holder the same at the Zoo and the Aquarium, so those visits are added at half price.
The subscription switch prices every card at its auto-renewing rate, which runs at least 24 months.
How to read the answer
Grey months are the short winter days, when the Zoo and Tierpark close at 16:30 with last entry at 15:30. If the day-ticket band stays under every card line, keep buying day tickets online. If one card line runs below the band by midwinter, that card is worth buying now, and the Aquarium visits in the dark months are usually what tips it.
