Run it before you book, to decide whether you need a room with confirmed AC or can manage with shade and airflow, and again once you arrive, to plan how you handle the hot afternoons and the night ventilation.
Local guide note
The German method beats AC on most days: shutters or curtains down through the hot afternoon, then windows wide open once the evening drops to around 13 to 18 degrees. Get a fan on day one, because they sell out in a heatwave, and point it across an open window at night.
