Which Berlin Bürgeramt Takes Your Errand Without an Appointment?

Survey of the city service portal on 20 September 2026: 26 of 38 counters publish an Erweiterter Bürgerservice walk-in list covering Meldebescheinigung, Führungszeugnis, Gewerbezentralregisterauskunft, eID PIN resets, document collection and online-service advice. A Meldebescheinigung is free online and 10 euros at the counter. Registering a new address is free and due within 14 days.
Most people book a slot for errands that never needed one. Several Berlin Bürgeramt services are free or half price online, a named list can be walked in at 26 counters, and only the rest need an appointment. Pick your errand and the map shows which door is open.
You are not tied to your district
The ID card and passport services list 82 Berlin locations, so a slot in Spandau counts the same as one in Pankow. Search every counter, not the one nearest your flat.
The counter has a price
A Meldebescheinigung is free online and 10 euros in person, and a simple register lookup is 5 euros online against 10 at the counter. The online route needs a BundID account and an activated eID.
One free visit unlocks the rest
Activating the eID chip and resetting its PIN cost nothing, are done on the spot, and are on the walk-in list at those 26 counters. After that the free online errands are open to you.
What this tool leaves out
It does not show live appointment availability, which the city does not publish, and the offices note that spontaneous visits can be limited when a counter is busy. Treat the walk-in list as a good bet, not a guarantee.
