Use this tool when old airport names make a booking or map confusing. It separates the live BER passenger airport from Berlin’s closed airport sites, then gives you the current rail corridor into the centre and the one ticket-zone detail that matters.
What this tool does
The map explains BER, Tegel, Schönefeld and Tempelhof without mixing historic airport codes with the journey you need today. Scheduled passenger traffic has been concentrated at BER since 8 November 2020.
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
Terminal 1 is the main building and holds the airport station on level U2. Terminal 2 is next door, with a signed walk of about five minutes through level E0. Always use the terminal printed on your booking because airline assignments can change.
BER to central Berlin
The FEX now runs through Südkreuz and Potsdamer Platz to Hauptbahnhof in about 23 minutes. RE20 and S-Bahn services provide alternatives. BER is in fare zone C, so a normal trip into the centre needs an ABC ticket.
